Grief Poem

We say “good grief” in annoyance

Then you have a loved one pass

And you’re no longer feeling abundance

It’s like a piece of you is missing, alas.

You’re left with beautiful memories to cherish

It’s hard to accept when you want to hear them one more time

You know your loved one is free and perish

It’s even harder to accept their suffering and that they gave you all their time

But you know it was time for them to be free

Free from all the worldly forces interfering

You may not agree

But all you can do now is keep them alive in your heart for disappearing
